Actress Dia Mirza and her husband Vaibhav Rekhi welcomed a baby boy in May this year. The couple decided to share the news with their fans today, two months after the baby’s arrival. They named their son Avyaan Azaad and the actress took to her social media to share the news.
She wrote a long emotional note by comparing her present emotions with Elizabeth Stone quote. “To have a child is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body.” She revealed that her baby boy was born premature and is at the hospital since then.
“These words perfectly exemplify Vaibhav and my feelings right now. Our heartbeat, our son Avyaan Azaad Rekhi was born on May 14th. Having arrived early, our little miracle has since then been cared for by tireless nurses and doctors in the Neonatal ICU,” she wrote.
Dia also said that she developed appendectomy and severe bacterial infection during pregnancy had led to sepsis and thus, created a fatal situation. “Thankfully, the timely care and intervention by our doctor ensured the safe birth of our baby via an emergency C-section,” she added.
Thanking everyone who supported her in these difficult times, Dia added that the newborn’s elder sister Samaira and grandparents are waiting at home to hold him in their arms. Dia Mirza married businessman Vaibhav Rekhi in a private ceremony in February this year. She was previously married to Sahil Sangha.
