Balayya’s First Comment On MAA Elections

The Movie Artists Associations (MAA) elections have invited many eyes, controversies and headlines in the recent past. Actors Prakash Raj, Naresh, Vishnu Manchu and Hema have expressed their willingness to contest the polls. But things turned ugly between actors who indulged in blame game.

Till date hero Nandamuri Balakrishna did not comment on MAA elections and now he made debatable comments. “This is glamour industry and it is not appropriate to discuss internal issues of MAA in public and before the media,” said Balayya. He also reacted on the non-local issue and added that it was never a concern.

But Balayya questioned the past activities of MAA. “A couple of years back for fundraising, MAA members went to America. But people travelled in first class flights and no one has any clue about the money collected,” said Balayya.

On MAA building, NBK asked why wasn’t this, the priority earlier? “If Vishnu Manchu comes forward for the construction of MAA building, I will join him as partner,” said Balayya. He also stated some of the industry people are overly associating with the Telangana government.

Previously Balayya openly criticised the industry biggies for not involving him while meeting the Telugu state governments on shooting approvals and industry issues post the first wave of Covid-19. Back then Balayya’s comments drew huge flak and his latest remarks may not do any harm.
