Last week the Telangana government allowed the theatres to reopen across the state. However the theatres owners and management have had certain concerns before reopening the theatres. Accordingly the Telangana State Film Chamber of Commerce (TSFCC) representation met minister Talasani and placed their requests.
One of the requests is to bring the parking fee in standalone theatres. Apparently due to the closure of theatres, the losses have mounted and parking fee can be a breather for the owners and management as majority of the revenue comes from there.
Having accepted this request, last evening the Telangana government issued fresh orders to bring back the parking fee but only in standalone theatres. Thanking the Telangana government for accepting their request, the TSFCC has announced reopening of theatres from July 30th.
Initially the theatres were supposed to open from July 23rd. Some issues and the state government taking its time, delayed the proceedings by a week.
Actor Satya Dev’s ‘Thimmarusu’ and young hero Teja Sajja’s ‘Ishq’ will kick off Tollywood’s box office as both the films have locked their release on July 30th.
