What? Elon Musk’s Controversial Grok Running At A Loss?

Tech billionaire Elon Musk might have tasted profits in various streams of business in which he had invested so far. But, his famous AI agent Grok which is famous for Controversies due to its unhealthy answers in many cases, which directly integrates with X platform, seems to be running at losses as it has become very expensive to maintain it and the return on investment is lesser than the cost spent on it.

Replying to user complaints on his social media platform X, Musk openly shared that the cost of maintaining the AI agent is currently unsustainably high compared to the revenue it brings in. This open confession from Musk came as a big surprise, especially after company executives proudly boasted about its rapid growth.

The issue came to light when many subscribers complained that their weekly usage limits were running out much faster than usual. Many users found themselves hitting their caps days early and asked if quotas could be reset or adjusted.

Instead of offering a solution, Musk revealed the reason behind operating powerful background AI tools that require massive server power. This expensive problem is not just happening to Musk. Other big tech companies like OpenAI and Meta are also spending huge amounts of money to keep their AI models running
