Satyadev’s Thimmarusu and Teja Sajja’s Ishq have got a theatrical release after the second wave of Covid-19 pandemic. These two films have locked their OTT streaming partners. While Thimmarusu’s digital rights have been sold to Netflix, Ishq has been bought by Sun Nxt. It is learnt that both films have bagged decent amount from their respective OTT platforms as per the post-theatrical model.
Both Thimmarusu and Ishq are currently faring in theatres. However, the Covid-19 scare is still looming large as audiences are not stepping out in large numbers like before. This could come in handy for the films OTT streaming.
Netflix and Sun Nxt are going to confirm the digital premieres of Thimmarusu and Ishq respectively. It’s learnt that the digital release will happen soon. Official announcement of the dates of the streaming to be made by the OTTs.
