Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty has issued her first statement on her husband Raj Kundra’s arrest. Taking to her social media, Shilpa posted two pages of statements and added that neither she nor her husband deserve media trial.
“Yes! The past few days have been very challenging, on every front. There have been a lot of rumours and accusations. A lot of unwarranted aspersions on me cast by the media and (not so) well-wishers as well. A lot of trolling/questions posed.. not only on me but also to my family,” states the first para.
“MY STAND… I HAVE NOT COMMENTED YET and will continue to refrain from doing so on this case as it is subjudice, so please stop attributing false quote on my behalf,” added the statement further.
Shilpa claimed that she has full faith in Mumbai Police and the Indian Judiciary and also looking at available legal remedies. She asked to respect the Kundra family’s privacy and requested the media from commenting on half-baked information without verifying the facts.
Summing up, Shilpa Shetty said, “We don’t deserve media trial. Please let the law take its course. Satyameva Jayate! With positivity and gratitude.”
When this statement is carefully observed, Shilpa Shetty did not mention at least a word of her husband Raj Kundra and she also kind of upset with the Bollywood fraternity who have been distancing her ever since this whole episode.
