Not sure when the Movie Artists Association (MAA) elections will be held but the actors who are in the race for MAA President post are attacking each other. Freshly popular character artist Hema has made sensational allegations against current MAA President Naresh.
“Naresh is conspiring against MAA polls, probably to continue in the President role till next year. He is also talking to a few people in the industry to ensure the elections get postponed,” said Hema.
Attacking further, Hema added that out of the Rs 5 crore funds, only Rs 3 crore funds were utilised and Naresh should disclose what has happened to the rest of the funds. “Naresh is in no mood to step down and is tricking people,” added Hema.
On Saturday morning Hema has written to 200 members of the MAA, urging them to pressure for MAA elections. She gathered signatures of the 200 members and is likely to produce them before MAA Disciplinary Committee Chairman UV Krishnam Raju.
However, the decision lies with Krishnam Raju and he recently held a general body meeting but the outcome of it is yet to be known.
