Kollywood star Dhanush will be joining hands with Tollywood director Sekhar Kammula for an ambitious pan-India project. The film had its formal announcement around a month ago and the first schedule will be flagged off in December, after Dhanush wraps up D43 and D44.
Meanwhile, the latest Tollywood grapevine is it that the Dhanush-Sekhar Kammula film is a period drama set in the early 1950s. Apparently, Sekhar has penned a script that dates back to the pre-Andhra Pradesh formation era when Tamils and Telugus lived together under one common capital, Madras.
Furthermore, the film will showcase Dhanush as a Madrasi Telugu leader who shines in politics from the lowest rung. This yet-to-be-titled film will be simultaneously shot in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi. Telugu producers Narayan Das Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao are bankrolling this project on a huge scale.
