Manipuri weightlifter Saikhom Mirabai Chanu gave india its first medal in the recently concluded Olympics. The 27-year-old champion lifted the 1.3 billion countrymen’s hopes and won the silver medal in the 49 kgs category at Tokyo Olympics.
Last night, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan took to his Instagram and shared a picture of him posing with Mirabai Chanu. “Happy for u silver medalist @mirabai_chanu..lovely meeting with u…best wishes always,” Bhai posted.
And Mirabai’s reply has left everyone pleasantly surprised. Thanking Salman for his wishes, she posted, “I am a big fan of you and its like a dream come true for me.” Needless to say, Mirabai and Bhai’s fans are overjoyed seeing both the stars together.
Upon her arrival, Mirabai received a hero’s welcome from fans and authorities. So far, nearly Rs 7 crore cash rewards have been announced for Mirabai by various government and private authorities.
