COVID-19 pandemic has hit the theatrical business hard in India during the two lockdowns. However, Telugu audiences are helping the business grow by thronging into theatres whenever a good film hits the screens. After the first lockdown, Tollywood produced major blockbusters in the country in the form of Krack, Uppena, Jathi Ratnalu, and Vakeel Saab.
The trend seems to be continuing after the second lockdown too. Actor Sree Vishnu’s latest flick Raja Raja Chora has been doing good theatrical business and emerged as a hit at the box office. Within three days of its release, Raja Raja Chora earned a gross of more than Rs. 6 crores. This is a very good collection considering the low pre-release buzz of the film.
Raja Raja Chora is also doing well in the USA territory. It earned $106.5k by Saturday and emerged as the highest grosser among Telugu films released post covid second wave in the USA. Thus, this film proved that Telugu viewers encourage good films theatrically at any point of time.
Directed by debutant Hasith Goli, Raja Raja Chora features Megha Akash and Sunaina as the female leads.
