Will Amazon Prime Agree To Raviteja’s Demand?

Of course, even in Bollywood, other than Akshay Kumar, no other in-form superstar has agreed to do a web series, one wonders if they still think doing OTT projects will dent their image. Down south, only struggling stars are actually picking up OTTs while Samantha’s portrayal of Raji in The Family Man brought some positive change in the attitude of actors.

A report is doing rounds that a Tamil filmmaker got a terrific crime-thriller web series script approved by Amazon to be produced with crores of budget for their Prime Video. And one of the sought after stars for the lead role is none other than Massraja Raviteja. While some middlemen approached Raviteja to check his response, the star is said to have quoted a whopping remuneration. And it was conveyed to them that only a hefty pay-check would convince the actor to step into OTT.

But then, Amazon’s creative team is of the opinion that maybe a Madhavan or Saif Ali Khan would be more apt for the role. Also they feel that those two stars have a bigger pan-India image than Raviteja and their remuneration is also at a similar range. If OTT platforms are getting better stars at same budget, obviously Raviteja will be losing the opportunity. Will the actor budge and picks up this offer? Or will Amazon still picks up the star and his demands, in a bid to bring Telugu audiences more close to Prime Video? Let’s see.
