Will Akhanda miss Dussera release?

Nandamuri Balakrishna and director Boyapati Srinu have teamed up for the third time for the film Akhanda. As their earlier films, Simha and Legend are blockbusters, there are high expectations on this upcoming movie as well.

Akhanda was earlier supposed to hit the screens on May 28th but the second wave of the coronavirus and the lockdown had ruined the plans. Now, the makers are planning to release it during Dussera festive weekend.

Apparently, the team wants to release the film on October 8th but the delay in the post-production works may push the release once again. The shooting of Akhanda is finished barring a couple of songs. Already, the post-production works have started.

It seems that there is a lot of VFX work that needs to be done and it may take a long time. If the works get delayed, the release may be pushed to December. Akhanda features Pragya Jaiswal and Poorna as the female leads. Miriyala Ravinder Reddy is producing the project and Thaman is composing the music of it.
