Shruti Haasan is one of the stalwarts in the South Cinema. The actress is currently busy with the prestigious pan-India project Salaar, starring Prabhas. With the success of Krack, the actress is back in form.
After taking a break of 3 years, Shruti Haasan signed Krack in Telugu and Laabam in Tamil. Krack was released during January this year and Laabam is hitting the screens next week.
Laabam marks the comeback of Shruti Haasan to Kollywood after 4 years. Her last Tamil film was Singham 3, starring Suriya in the lead. After the film’s release, Shruti decided to shift her focus to a music career.
Laabam features Vijay Sethupathi in the lead role. The film is hitting the screens on September 9th. Billed to be a rural drama, Shruti Haasan will be seen in an interesting character of the film.
Produced by 7Cs Entertainment, SP Jananathan of Peranmai and Iyarkkai fame. Jagapathi Babu, Kalaiyarasan, Danie, and Dhanshika are also playing pivotal characters in the film.
We have to see if Shruti scores a hit as she did in Telugu.
