Watching some actresses will mesmerise us but then we would like to see them in better roles as days pass. However, some heroines get roles that are below par their ability and performance and watching such work bleeds the hearts of their admirers. That’s what happened with Avika Gor’s fans.
From Chinnari Pellikoothur to Uyyala Jampala, surely Avika’s performance is always on the right track and her bang on acting abilities are a super hit with the audience. But the other day released OTT movie NET has quite disappointed her fans big time. Except for Rahul Ramakrishna’s performance, the rest of the film looks a bit cliche even with the setup which looks forced. And moreover, the character Avika played has nothing to offer.
Avika appeared as a young about-to-be wife who is being cheated by her husband. There is neither any emotional connection to her character or some substance in the role she played. More than Avika’s role, the character of Rahul Ramakrishna’s wife has something big to offer and a newcomer actress excelled in that role. One wonders why a super talented actress like Avika got cast in that role, and why did she accept to do it.
Frankly speaking, our filmmakers should give some better roles to this actress rather than these stereotypic characters.
