In a shocking development, actress Ramya Krishna’s car was caught by Chennai police at the ECR road near Kanatthur, as part of the regular checking. The vehicle caught was Innova Crysta bearing registered number TN07Q 0099.
According to police, about 96 beer bottles and 8 liquor bottles were found in the car and the police have seized the car immediately. The liquor bottles were being shifted from Mammalapuram to Chennai.
The driver is identified as Selvakumar and he has been taken into police custody. There is no clarity yet on who own these bottles. According to media reports, the driver has been granted bail and he walked out freely.
It is not clear whether Ramya Krishna has prior knowledge about the car carrying liquor bottles or not. It’s also rumoured that the driver used the car without Ramya’s knowledge and was shifting the bottles. A detailed investigation is on. More details are awaited.
