Of late, we have seen many B-town stars such as Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn and Shah Rukh Khan announcing their digital debuts. And the latest to join the bandwagon is Varun Dhawan. And it is certainly big for him and his fans!
The young actor has signed up for a major international series that will stream on Amazon Prime Video. He will be part of Citadel – the American drama series created by Anthony and Joe Russo. To the unversed, the Russo brothers are best known for directing four important films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe including – Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.
Talking about Citadel, it will be an action-adventure espionage series that will consist of a “mothership series” and other local languages “satellite series”. The main series will have Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden. The shooting has commenced in the United Kingdom.
And Varun is likely to be playing the lead in the satellite series, directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK. Citadel will be set in India, Mexico and Italy. The main series is scheduled to stream online in January 2022.
