Popular businessman and actress Shilpa Shetty’s husband Raj Kundra was arrested in a porn-racket case a couple of months back. After spending two months behind the bars, Kundra was finally granted bail on Monday.
Hours after he was granted the bail, Shilpa Shetty shared a story on Instagram. This story featured a quote by Chinese-American modernist architect Roger Lee. “Rainbows exist to prove that beautiful things can happen after a bad storm,” it read.
Kundra walked out of the jail a while ago.
Mumbai Court granted bail to Kundra on a surety of Rs. 50,000 with certain conditions. Last week, Mumbai Police filed a 1400-page charge sheet in the court, listing all the charges against Kundra. The charge sheet mentioned Raj Kundra as the “main facilitator” for the porn apps ‘Hotshots’ and ‘Bollyfame.’
However, the charge sheet lacked evidence of his involvement in shooting “alleged questionable content.” In his bail request, Raj Kundra stated that he was being used as a scapegoat in the case.
In her media statement released after Kundra’s arrest, Shilpa stated that she was not aware of his business activities and don’t know anything about the alleged porn racket.
