Opinion: Posani’s Cheap Talk Not At All Acceptable

Actor-politician Posani Krishna Murali’s all-round abusive attack on Pawan Kalyan and family is drawing severe flak from all corners. The language that he used against Pawan in the whole episode is the hot topic in film circles.

Having political differences and having different ideologies is not uncommon, but the manner in which Posani targeted Pawan is cheap. Particularly, targeting Pawan, his mother, his wife and his kids is going to backfire.

If Posani has issues with Pawan’s fans and their trolls, he should have addressed the same and should have asked Pawan to control fans. Instead Posani’s derogatory comments certainly are in bad taste. This may also spoil the atmosphere in the film industry. Posani has acted and worked with Pawan in many films.

Notwithstanding the past and rapport, Posani’s belittling remarks are seen as provoking comments as Pawan’s fans may loose their cool further. It is obvious that Posani is trying to impress his bosses at YSRCP, but he shouldn’t forget that YCP isn’t permanent in power. At the same time, Posani also can’t stay forever in YCP. He has to return to films where he belongs. Such hard-hitting comments will certainly affect the sentiments of Pawan’s fans.

Directors Trivikram Srinivas, Koratala Siva are now caught off guard with Posani’s personal remarks. These are too personal and too bad in taste. What one expect is an unconditional apology from Posani.
