Apple’s MacBook Pro Enters The ‘Touch’ Era

Leading Tech giant Apple has unveiled a new MacBook Pro. Apple claims it as a groundbreaking MacBook Pro. For the first time on Mac, it features a PROLED XDR display and Touch. What’s more? This Mac features industry-leading tandem OLED display, an intuitive Touch experience, blazing-fast M5 Pro and M5 Max chips with strong performance and AI capabilities.

Apple claims the laptop offers up to 24 hours of battery life, despite its thinner and lighter design. The new MacBook Pro supports up to 128GB of unified memory and 16TB of storage. It is available in 14-inch and 16-inch models.

The new PROLED XDR display offers peak brightness of up to 2,000 nits, a 120Hz refresh rate and a contrast ratio of 10,000,000:1. Apple says it is designed to deliver sharper visuals, richer colours and improved performance for photographers, designers and video professionals.

For the first time, Apple has introduced touch capabilities on the MacBook Pro, allowing users to interact directly with content, including 3D models and on-screen musical instruments. The Dynamic Island feature also comes to Mac, supporting Spotlight, Live Activities and Siri AI.

Other features include an enhanced six-speaker sound system, Thunderbolt 5 connectivity, a 12MP Center Stage camera and studio-quality microphones. The laptop also supports macOS 27 and Apple Intelligence features. Apple began accepting pre-orders on October 28, with sales scheduled to start on November 6.
