The makers of Allu Arjun’s Pushpa earlier announced that the film will hit the screens during Christmas this year. Everyone thought that it will release either on December 24th or 25th. But all of a sudden, the team advanced the release by a week and announced the release date as December 17.
After Maharashtra’s government announced that the theatres will reopen in the state from October 22, many Bollywood biggies have announced their release dates. Ranveer Singh’s long-delayed movie ’83 announced its release date as 24 December.
Both Pushpa and ’83 are pan-India projects and will release in multiple languages. Thus, going for a clash will affect both the films’ businesses. Maybe that is the reason why the makers of Pushpa decided to advance the release by a week.
Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa features Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead. It is being made in two parts. Fahadh Faasil plays the antagonist role in the film.
