Versatile actor Prakash Raj is betting high on the upcoming Movie Artists Association (MAA) elections. The polls will take place on 10th October. He is contesting for the President’s post and his major rival is Manchu Vishnu. Already, the war of words between the two caught the attention of everyone. In a recent interview, Prakash Raj made some critical comments on Manchu Vishnu.
“I was not born into the families of NTR, ANR, or Chiranjeevi. Is it a mistake? I belong here. I have my own address here and my Aadhar card is registered here. I do agriculture here. I am contesting in the MAA elections for the welfare of all the artists, said Prakash, adding, “My participation is also a straight question to a few biggies who have been paying no attention to those who are trying to bring disrespect to the association.”
Prakash Raj expressed high confidence about winning the election. “The first call will be made to Manchu Vishnu, to seek his support in constructing MAA building,” said Prakash Raj.
In a recent interview, Prakash Raj also made comments that Manchu Vishnu’s film budget will be equal to that of Pawan Kalyan’s film’s morning show collection. The comments went viral in the film industry and the actor has given an explanation for the same.
“I never wanted to get into attacking a person on the personal level. When I came to know that Vishnu is contesting for the President’s role, I called him personally to be on the same page where we should promote our agendas individually and not criticize one another,” said the actor, adding, “Naresh and Vishnu held a press meet and made some objectionable comments against me and my panel members. I could not take it.”
