Netflix India’s new web film Meenakshi Sundareshwar has been making a buzz in Bollywood for the last few days. Starring Abhimanyu Dassani and Sanya Malhotra in the lead roles, the teaser of this film was released a few days back.
This morning, the makers have released the teaser of it. The film looks like a breezy romantic drama that revolves around the life of a newly married couple who struggles to cope up with long-distance relationship woes.
Both Abhimanyu and Sanya played the roles of Tamilians in the movie. Though the teaser looks good, the characters don’t seem to be authentic. The makers should have chosen authentic Tamilians to essay the lead characters.
Viewers may also get reminded of movies like Chennai Express and Two States after watching this teaser.
Meenakshi Sundareshwar is being directed by Vivek Soni. Karan Johar’s web-wing Dharmatic is bankrolling the project.
It is all set for a worldwide premiere on November 5, during the Diwali festive weekend.
