The untimely demise of Kannada Powerstar Punjeeth Rajkumar has shocked the film fraternity. Celebs across several film industries are still unable to digest the fact that Punjeeth is no more while millions of fans are mourning uncontrollably.
Puneeth was last seen in ‘Yuvarathnaa.’ The film released on April 1st, 2021 amidst the Covid-19 second wave. Theatres across Karnataka were forced to shut down in the later days and so ‘Yuvarathnaa’ was made available to stream a week later through Amazon Prime Video on April 9th, 2021.
‘James’ and ‘Dvitva’ were upcoming movies of Puneeth. He was supposed to resume shooting for ‘James’ in November and the schedules were also confirmed. Post ‘James’ Puneeth locked ‘Dvitva’ and it was supposed to be directed by Pawan Kumar of ‘U-Turn’ fame. Coincidentally it’s director Pawan’s birthday today and the makers anticipated to come up with a poster or an update. ‘KGF’ producers Hombale Films are the producers of ‘Dvitva’ and they planned to make the film on a grand scale.
Besides this, Puneeth was very much interested in encouraging fresh talent and he finalised a couple of projects to bankroll under his production house PRK Productions. ‘French Biryani’ was Puneeth’s last production while ‘Family Pack’ and ‘One Cut Two Cut An Flower is Came’ are in production stages.
Hope ‘James’ and the other two films produced by Puneeth get a release and give a befitting tribute to the superstar.
