Vijay Gives Liger’s Big Update In Bigg Boss 5!

It has been more than a year and a half since we saw Vijay Deverakonda on the big screen. His last release was World Famous Lover, which had hit the screens in February 2020 and ended up as a disaster at the box office. The film before that, Dear Comrade, was also a box-office failure.

Vijay is looking forward to hitting back the success track with his upcoming film Liger. This Puri Jagannath-directorial venture was supposed to release on September 9th this year. However, the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic had ruined the plans.

The new release date is yet to be announced. Meanwhile, the makers are being tight-lipped about the film’s status and are not revealing it anywhere in the media.

Finally, Vijay himself spilled some beans on Liger’s status on Bigg Boss Telugu season 5’s stage. Vijay and his brother Anand Deverakonda have made an appearance in Bigg Boss Telugu’s Diwali special episode, to promote Anand’s upcoming release Pushpaka Vimanam.

While interacting in the episode, Vijay revealed that Liger is in the last leg of its shoot. This means that the film may hit the screens early next year.

An official announcement about the release date may get announced soon. Liger features Ananya Panday as the leading lady. Karan Johar, Charmme Kaur, and Puri Jagannath are jointly bankrolling the film.
