We have been hearing the reports of Samantha’s Bollywood debut plans for quite some time now. The Rangasthalam actress got wide popularity in the Hindi-speaking circuit with her maiden web series The Family Man season 2.
Now, she is planning to expand her market by venturing into Hindi feature films as well. The latest grapevine from the B-Town reveals that Samantha has been approached to play the lead role in a new film which is being bankrolled by Taapsee Pannu.
It is already known that Taapsee started her production house Outsider Films earlier this year. Apparently, Samantha got an offer from that banner. It is heard that the discussions are going on and the final call will be taken soon.
Taapsee’s maiden production venture Blurr got done with its shoot recently. It is being directed by Ajay Bahl of Section 375 fame.
On the flip side, Samantha will be next seen in the Tamil film Kathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal. This Vignesh Shivan’s directorial outing stars Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara in the other lead roles.
Samantha has also signed a bi-lingual project with Dream Warrior Pictures. It will hit the floors soon. In Telugu, her next release will be the mythological epic Shaakuntalam.
