Sometimes, actors lose a few films due to various reasons and regret their decisions after those particular films become successful at the box office. We have seen many such instances in the past. Malayalam star Dulquer Salmaan also has one such regret.
The Ok Kanmani actor was apparently the first choice for Andhadhun. Dulquer himself revealed it in a recent interview and added that he lost that opportunity due to a miscommunication.
Directed by Sriram Raghavan, Andhadhun featured Ayushmann Khurrana in the lead role. Ayushmann went on to win a National Award for his performance in the film. Dulquer’s regret can be witnessed in his words.
Andhadhun was also later remade into other languages like Telugu and Malayalam. The Tamil remake version of it will hit the screens soon.
Meanwhile, Dulquer is currently awaiting the release of his upcoming film Kurup. Based on the real-life gangster Sukumara Kurup’s life, this movie is all set to hit the screens this Friday in Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Kannada languages.
Kurup is the first major release in Kerala after the pandemic. Directed by Sushin Shyam, this movie features Sobitha Dhulipala and Tovino Thomas in the other lead roles.
