Venkatesh’s Drushyam 2 Teaser: Gripping

Venkatesh’s thriller drama film Drushyam 2, a sequel to his hit movie Drushyam and remake of Malayalam film Drishyam 2, will premiere exclusively on the leading OTT platform Amazon Prime Video on November 25th. Due to some reasons, the makers avoid theatrical release of the movie.

The film’s teaser is also unveiled today. The video begins with everyone talking about Varun’s case. The family that was leading a normal life for last six years, is drawn back into the dark memories. Apparently, Venky comes up with another master plan to come out of the issue. The teaser looks gripping and garners interest.

Anup Rubens and Satheesh Kurup have taken care of music and cinematography departments respectively. Meena, Nadhiya, Naresh, Kruthika and Esther Anil reprised their roles from first part, with Sampath Raj and Poorna playing new roles in the sequel. Jeethu Joseph who directed the original has helmed the Telugu version as well.

The makers were initially in talks with other streaming players, but Amazon offered much bigger price. Interestingly, the Malayalam version Drishyam is also streaming on Prime and it got overwhelming response from critics and audience alike.
