‘Anushka Has Good Command Over Scripts’

It has been a long time since we saw Anushka on the big screen. Her last theatrical release was the 2018 film Bhaagamathie. Her last movie Nishabdham had a direct digital release on Amazon Prime Video. Recently, Anushka’s new film was announced on the occasion of her birthday.

Tentatively called Anushka 48, this movie is being directed by Mahesh Babu of Ra Ra Krishnayya fame. UV Creations is bankrolling the project. The shoot will begin soon.

Meanwhile, Mahesh said that he didn’t have Anushka in mind while writing the script. But after finishing the bound script, he approached the star actress and she gave her nod right away. When she came on board, Mahesh made a few changes to her character.

But the actress didn’t want him to make any changes and asked him to retain the original character. “Anushka wanted me to retain the original script. She felt it was a strong point, and that I should not change it because she was stepping into the role,” said Mahesh in an interview with the leading media house.

Mahesh also added that Anushka gave a few inputs and changes in the story. “Now that’s experience; Anushka garu has vast knowledge and command over scripts. In the process, I have also evolved as a writer,” Mahesh explained.

Mahesh said that it will be a new-age film and it explores today’s life. More details of the movie will be announced in the coming days.
