Nandamuri Balakrishna’s latest flick Akhanda is roaring hard at the box office. Directed by Boyapati Srinu, this action drama witnessed earth-shattering openings in the Telugu states and is all set to become a blockbuster at the box office.
Meanwhile, there is a new actor in the film who grabbed the attention of everyone. He is Niitin Mehta, who acted as one of the antagonists in the movie. Niitin played a crucial role in the movie, which is a key part in driving the film.
Niitin also impressed everyone with his performance in the movie. Akhanda marks his debut in Telugu cinema. What is more interesting is that Niitin is an ex-Army officer. He served in the Indian Army for nearly 21 years.
He gave up his profession in order to pursue his dream of becoming an actor. Thus, he resigned from the Army and started pursuing modeling in his late 40s.
Before Akhanda, Niithin acted in a few Hindi shows and films but none of them brought him wide recognition. It was ‘Akhanda’ which made him a talk of the town in Tollywood right now.
The actor is overwhelmed by the success of this film and thanked the team for making him a part of it. “Gratitude and humbled by the overwhelming response to our movie #Akhanda all over the world. Thank you so much #NandamuriBalakrishna sir, #BoyapatiSreenu sir, and #MiryalaRavinderReddy sir for making me part of this wonderful project,” tweeted Niitin this morning.
