As we have already informed our readers that the Andhra Pradesh High Court ruled out the government order about the ticket prices. Now, the government of Andhra Pradesh decided to challenge this verdict.
The government earlier decided to reduce the movie ticket prices and also decided to go against having 5 shows per day. The distributors, theatre owners and producers approached court to withdraw the same.
After hearing the petition and the arguments, the High Court decided to lift the GO passed by the government giving the theatre owners and distributors power to increase the ticket prices.
While decreasing the movie ticket rates, the government stated that the decision has been taken in view of making cinema available for all people and does not want to add a burden on the audience.
Even now, the government states the same. For the benefit of common people and audience, the government is challenging the decision of High Court.
When the producers approached the court, everyone knew that it will anger the state government. The government made a counter move now and we have to wait for the outcome.
