As the news of Maharashtra imposing night curfews to contain the Omicron spread, there is no chance for a second show every day in that state, and that might affect the upcoming big release like #RRR very badly. At the same time, bad ticket rates in Andhra Pradesh are another thing of concern for all the parties involved.
With these things plaguing the future of many releases, a rumour has come out that Rajamouli’s RRR might get postponed for a while. But then the producers of the film confirmed that the film will be hitting cinemas on January 7th as usual without any fail.
A talk from Mumbai is coming out that RRR can’t go back now as the team of Rajamouli and his heroes, Jr NTR and Ram Charan, have not only promoted the film extensively in Mumbai, but the local producer has spent crores to publicise the film. For that reason, they can’t skip the release, as all those efforts will go in vain.
At the same time, the likes of Prabhas’ Radhe Shyam are also not worrying about these factors that might turn into a big hurdle for the film and going ahead with the release plan. Looks like the big producers are quite taking a risky yet daring step now to check out the real feel of the box office in these tough times with covid pandemic and vendetta politics choking them a bit heavily.
