Wanted: A Hero For Pawan Kalyan’s Director

Director Venu Sriram’s Vakeel Saab, starring Pawan Kalyan, released in summer earlier this year. Even though the film couldn’t set the box office on fire, Venu Sriram managed to impress Pawan’s fans by balancing the actor’s mass image in the issue based courtroom drama.

But even after all these months since Vakeel Saab’s release, there has been no official announcement on Venu Sriram’s next project. The director had confirmed during Vakeel Saab’s promotions that his next project will be the long-delayed film, Icon, featuring Allu Arjun. Icon was launched on Bunny’s birthday in 2019 and it has been in cold storage ever since due to reasons unknown.

On the other hand, Allu Arjun has his hands full until next year with Pushpa 2 and Koratala Siva’s project. But Venu Sriram had locked Icon’s script long back and is in no mood to stay idle until Bunny gives him dates.

So Venu is said to be planning a new project soon and wrap it up by this year end. With almost all the top stars being occupied with their respective projects for the year, Venu is currently on a relentless hunt for the right actor to play the main lead in his new film. We can expect some news on this front in a couple of months.
