RGV’s Perfect Retort To ‘Criminal’ Memes

The once celebrated director Ram Gopal Varma is on super fire as he is handling the Andhra Pradesh Cinema Tickets row quite brilliantly through his social media. At the same time, he is leaving no stone unturned when it comes to handling those crazy memes that actually bring out laughs but will have no real juice in them.

Taking the line said by Varma, “When the film producer and audience (ticket buyer) have no issue with prices, who is government to involve in the matter?”, some meme pages came up with silly jokes. One of the memes reads like, Varma is saying ‘When client and prostitute have no issues, what is the problem of police?’, ‘when blue filmmakers and watchers have no problem, why is the Censor board worrying about it?’. While the meme has surely generated huge laughs, guess what Varma has to say about it.

“Orey Subbarao! What I’ve said falls in the legal jurisdiction but whatever jokes you are putting up are only highlighting the criminal aspect of it”, tweeted Varma, in a retort to those funny one-liners. Of course, we have to agree with the maverick filmmaker as those memes are sounding funny from a ‘punch’ point of view, but actually sounding nonsensical.

Looks like Varma’s Jan 10th meeting with Minister Perni Nani will be one big blockbuster that audience are awaiting to watch from a long time.
