Heroine Bhavana Opens Up On Assault Incident

The incident took place almost 5 years ago, but then heroine Bhavana Menon’s name was withheld to not get published anywhere in the press as legal charges were pressed. But now, the heroine herself opened up on the incident few hours ago as she took to her social media page to share her thoughts.

For the unknown, heroine Bhavana Menon (who acted in Telugu movies like Nithin’s Hero and Gopichand’s Ontari) was assaulted and molested by a group of men when she is traveling in her car after shooting pack up. Later star hero Dileep was arrested and produced in connection with this case, and he was released on bail as well, and the case is still going on.

Reacting about the same openly, today Bhavana commented that this journey from being a victim to a survivor is not that easy. “For years my name and identity were suppressed under the weight of assault inflicted on me”, she says, adding that though she hasn’t committed any crime her voice got silenced. Now she feels that lots of people are fighting for her, and she’s happy for the support.

In the years after the assault, Bhavana got married to Naveen, and she’s busy working in Kannada movies as Malayalam offers dried away due to some influential people, if rumours are to be believed.
