Video: Priyamani’s Bhamakalapam raises curiosity

Popular south Indian actress Priyamani shot to fame in the digital space with The Family Man. Now, the National Award winning artiste is stepping into Telugu OTT with Bhamakalapam, ‘a delicious home-cooked thriller’ to be streamed on Aha.

A video glimpse of Bhamakalapam has been launched, which shows Priyamani as a leading chef on YouTube with 1 lakh subscribers and 1000 recipes to her credit.

After making delicious dishes by chopping veggies and meat all these days, she is now left in an unexpected situation, where she has to cut …. Well, the video ends with this.

The web original movie is directed by Abhimanyu Tadimeti with filmmaker Bharat Kamma as the showrunner. Sudheer Edara and Bogavalli Bapineedu have produced the film under SVCC Digital (also the production behind Vishwak Sen’s Ashokavanamlo Arjuna Kalyanam).

An intriguing first-look poster of Bhamakalapam was launched a few days ago. In the poster, Priyamani was shown as a homemaker resembling Goddess Durga with many hands.

She holds knife, basket, biryani, broom, egg and a pooja-room bell in her hands even as peeping as if she is holding binoculars in her hand. The poster, filled with various hues across the kitchen, hinted that the lead character is a woman of many shades and can withhold any crisis that comes her way.

Music for Bhamakalapam is by Justin Prabhakaran of Radhe Shyam fame, while cinematography is by Deepak Kumar and editing by Viplav. According to Bhamakalapam team, it would turn a new leaf in the Telugu digital space with a captivating premise that’s certain to leave spectators awestruck.
