Rajamouli’s Good Intentions Get A Bad Outcome

Rajamouli

Rajamouli, known for his bigger-than-life movies with gigantic budgets, is a calm, kind, helping, and down to earth natured filmmaker. Proving his big heart, Rajamouli took to Twitter and asked his fans to help an actor named Devika in need. Devika worked with Rajamouli in ‘Baahubali’ and is now suffering from blood cancer. She is in urgent need of help.

The director has asked his followers on social media to contribute the amount needed for Devika’s treatment. He also share the link to the donation site and wrote, “Worked with Devika during Baahubali. She was the coordinator for many post-production works. Her passion and dedication is unmatched. Unfortunately, she is battling blood cancer. I humbly request to donate funds to the Ketto Campaign shared below.”

While this step of the director is getting a lot of love from his fans, several trolled Rajamouli for asking for help. Though his intentions are good, he receives severe trolling for asking money who himself is the highest-paid director in India. “Baubhali ki meeru yeh 20 – 30crs theesukoni untaru kada. Oka 20- 30 lakhs meere help chesthe ayipodhi kada,” reads a comment. One more user wrote, “Being such a big director of Indian cinema can’t u fulfil their need? U can help them without asking for any donors with ur influence”.

This is a very good example of how good intentions always has the potential for a misunderstanding to happen. Moreover, a few of them missed a simple logic of how the director and the actor are both employees in a film’s project and are being paid by the producer. They have no share in the box office collections. (Unless they are one of the producers).
