Industry Talk: Rajamouli Is ‘Plan A Plan B’ Trendsetter

SS Rajamouli is undoubtedly a trendsetter in the Telugu film industry. The star filmmaker is always first in testing out new strategies with his films. With Eega, he proved that he can pull off a stunner at the box office with a medium-range hero. With Baahubali, he proved how big he can dream and cater to audiences at the International level. Now, it is widely discussed that Rajamouli has also created a new trend in the movie industry.

After RRR was postponed from 7th January, Rajamouli took his time and announced two release dates of the film. Usually, no one has ever announced two release dates for a film so far. But, Rajamouli surprised everyone by announcing two dates as Plan A and Plan B.

However, team RRR later fixed only one release date for their film. But, taking a cue from Rajamouli, the producers of a few other films announced two release dates as plan A and plan B.

Team Bheemla Nayak officially confirmed that they will either arrive on 25th February or 1st April.

Team Ghani today confirmed that the film will hit the screens either on February 25th or on March 4th.

Team Rama Rao On Duty announced that their movie will come to theatres either on 25th March or 15th April.

Unofficially, there are reports that team Radhe Shyam is also considering two plans for the film’s release. The film will either release on 4th March or 11th March.

Thus, Rajamouli started a new trend in Tollywood by announcing two release dates. We have to see if filmmakers of other languages also follow the same.
