Kannada star Kiccha Sudeep amassed fame in the Telugu film industry with the 2012 blockbuster Eega. After that, he was seen in other Telugu films like Baahubali: The Beginning and Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy.
Sudeep is trying hard to gain market in the Telugu states as a lead hero but is failing to do so. After the success of Eega, many of his Kannada films are dubbed into Telugu. But none of them ended up as successful ventures.
But still, he is not giving up and is now coming up with another film. Sudeep’s last film Kotigobba 3, which was released in Kannada a few months ago, is now gearing up for the release in Telugu.
The previous two parts of this Kotigobba franchise were released in Telugu but ended up as failures. It has to be seen how this film performs at the box office.
Directed by Shiva Karthik, K3 features Shraddha Das, Aftab Shivdasani and P. Ravi Shankar in pivotal roles.
Meanwhile, a few sources have opined that the actor should opt for antagonist or supporting characters in Telugu to build a craze here rather than coming up with his dubbed films from Kannada.
Except for Eega, the other two films are period movies and the actor’s role went unnoticed. If and only if Sudeep takes up roles like that of Upendra, Arjun and others, Sudeep will have a market in Telugu. May be, it’s time that Sudeep focuses on the same than just releasing the dubbed versions of his movies in Telugu.
