Worried Regina Finally Gets Recognition With ‘Rocket Boys’

Despite being written off in the middle of her career, Regina Cassandra didn’t give up. Even after facing a sudden downfall, she felt the need to change. The actress is now making a comeback in Telugu with an item song in Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Acharya, where she is dancing for Saana Kastam.

On the other hand, when the craze starts fading, what you choose to do next is vital. And Regina got it all right. The recently released series, Rocket Boys is creating a massive buzz in the town. Created by Nikkhil Advani, the new show traces the lives of legendary nuclear physicists Dr Vikram Sarabhai and Dr Homi J Bhabha.

The biopic-drama features Regina as the legendary danseuse Mrinalini Sarabhai, who was also Vikram’s wife. A recipient of both the Padma Shri as well as the Padma Bhushan, Mrinalini’s contribution to art is still evident at the prestigious Darpana Academy of Performing Arts. Regina visited her academy in Ahmedabad and learnt her character, mannerisms in person. Not only the writers but Regina also have done a fabulous job of doing the character justice.

Rocket Boys also showcased a strong romantic track involving Ishwak and Regina. The scenes depicting their first meeting worked impeccably mainly because of the crackling chemistry between them. The series gave enough recognition to the actress to bounce back. Rocket Boys is currently trending on Twitter for having a phenomenal outcome and it is rated 9.7 on IMDb.

Meanwhile, Regina is also looking forward to her next film, Shakini Dakini, an official remake of the 2017 South Korean action comedy film Midnight Runners. Directed by Sudheer Varma, the Telugu film also features Nivetha Thomas in lead roles. Kabir Duhan Singh will be seen playing the baddie. The film is produced by D Suresh Babu and Sunitha Tati under the banner of Suresh Productions.
