There has been a lot of clamour surrounding Jr NTR’s absence in Tollywood’s delegation to CM YS Jagan. NTR’s political affiliation to the TDP is wide open and can’t be hidden. Naturally, NTR’s absence is no shocker. In fact, it is very much expected.
However, pro-YCP media and a section of netizens who are inclined to the ruling party couldn’t digest NTR’s absence. They started targeting NTR and singling him out and dragging into this political one-upmanship. This is totally unwanted and unacceptable.
But NTR proved his maturity by staying silent. His calm and composure in this heated atmosphere is laudable. He handled the whole issue with his own mark. Since he has political ambitions, any move of his would trigger debate on either side.
One shouldn’t force anyone to attend or be absent for an event. It is purely the prerogative of NTR whether to attend the delegation or not. One can also note that Nagarjuna, Venkatesh and Balakrishna are also other leading stars who stayed away from Tollywood’s delegation. Films and politics are separate. They shouldn’t be mixed up.
