The first look trailer of the BBC One mini-series A Suitable Boy is out and it is appealing. Tabu and Ishaan Kattar along with Ram Kumar, Tanya Maniktala, Namit Das, and Rasika Dugal appeared in the engaging trailer and the taboo romance between Ishaan Khattar and Tabu remains the crucial part.
This would be a six-part mini-series premiered on BBC One on July 26, made based on Vikram Seth’s novel A Suitable Boy. Directed by the famous Mira Nair, the story is set in newly independent India and revolves around four families. It is all about Mrs. Rupa Mehra looking for ‘A Suitable Boy’ for her daughter Lata and the events that follow her search.
The story deals with family traditions, oppression in the family, generational conflict, religion-based prejudice and taboo romance. Tanya Maniktala is all beautiful and she appears to have excelled as Lata. Tabu is natural as Saeeda Bai and Ishaan as Maan Kapoor seems to have utilized the meaty role he got.
