Actress Kavya Thapar, who shot to fame with Santosh Shoban’s Ek Mini Katha, was arrested in Mumbai allegedly for drunk driving and abusing a police man. According to media reports, a person was injured in the accident caused by Kavya. The incident took place on Thursday morning (Feb 17th).
Kavya allegedly consumed alcohol during the time of the accident. She is sent to judicial remand. Kavya was booked under Drunken Drive case and also booked for brawl for allegedly picking up fight with the police persons and abusing cops.
Juhu police told ANI, “Actress Kavya Thapar was arrested & sent to judicial custody, on charges of engaging in a scuffle & using abusive language with the police, after she hit a car & injured a person under the influence of alcohol, yesterday morning.”
Meanwhile, Kavya’s side of the story is yet to be heard. More details are awaited. EK Mini Katha was produced by UV Creations. The film had a direct OTT release.
