Can Valimai Survive From Bheemla Storm?

Ajith’s Valimai is all set to hit the screens on February 24. It was actually supposed to release during the Pongal festive season but was postponed due to the third wave of the pandemic. Meanwhile, Valimai is going to have a pan-India release now.

Though there is no denying in saying that it will get earth-shattering openings in Tamil, there are least chances of it doing well in Telugu though.

First of all, Ajith doesn’t have a market like Vijay or Suriya in the Telugu states. Until or unless there is an extraordinary word of mouth, Valimai may not manage to do well at the Tollywood box office.

Another thing is that Ajith generally doesn’t promote his films. That strategy may work in Kollywood because he is a big star there but it won’t work here. He needs to promote his films in the Telugu states in order to get close to the local audiences here. He has not attended the pre-release event held in Hyderabad last night.

Telugu actor Karthikeya has played the role of the main antagonist in Valimai. However, Karthikeya doesn’t have a good hit in Telugu after RX100. So, depending on his face value will not be enough for makers to pull viewers to the theatres.

On top of all these, Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s Bheemla Nayak is all set to hit the screens on February 25. Most of the screens in AP and Telangana will be given for that film. So, Valimai may not survive the storm of Bheemla down here.

Considering all these factors, we can say that there are very few chances of Valimai doing well at the Tollywood box office.
