Bigg Boss Non-Stop: Live Telecast Stopped

Disney+ Hotstar is one of the popular streaming platforms in the country. The streaming service is slowly emerging in the Telugu market. The platform’s biggest hope to increase the viewership is Bigg Boss Non-Stop. BB Non-Stop is the OTT version of the TV show that will be aired non-stop for 24 hours every day. However, the telecast stopped midway at 12 AM on Wednesday.

“We are setting up the house for more Non-Stop Entertainment. Live resumes from Thursday Midnight at 00:00 hours. Full episode Daily at 9 pm. Stay Tuned.” is the scrolling being given by the organizers on the live-stream link.

However, when we contacted our sources, close to the Bigg Boss team, we learned that the team is facing a lot of issues, including the practical problems in telecasting the show live.

“We did not expect less viewership for the 24-hour-telecast. With the TV show running non-stop, we are unable to decide which camera to show first as multiple discussions are taking place in the house at different places. We also need to take care of any abusive language if used by the contestants and we have some more practical issues that we want to sort out,” revealed a source.

As per the information we have, the Telugu TV show is running live without any delay. But now, the organizers stopped the telecast only to edit the entire day’s footage, only to telecast it the next day.

In other words, the footage from all the cameras will be taken into consideration. The editors will edit the entire footage keeping in view of providing a duration of 24 hours. Then, they will telecast the same on the next day as ‘live’.

In this way, the organizers are reportedly going to have flexibility and breathing space along with control over what content is being shown to the audience. With this, they can also hook the audiences and increase the viewership.

So far, the team maintained a strategy of releasing two episodes every day. One will be released in the morning and the other one in the night. But now, only one episode might be released with a 1-hour duration at 9 pm every day.

As of now, there is no official confirmation from team Bigg Boss about the same. More details are awaited.

Bigg Boss OTT version began with 17 contestants. 9 of them are ex-contestants while 8 members are new to the show. The show will take place for 84 days.
