Maniratnam’s Navarasam: Telugu Stars Not Interested?

Back then, many big stars used to have a desire that they should act in at least one Maniratnam movie. As time passed, even Mani sir lost his sheen and now his films are not being talked about for their content but only people are looking at the casting. Even the legendary filmmaker is also banking only on casting these days.

Somehow Telugu stars have lost interest in Mani’s movies it looks like as we have seen how Mahesh Babu and Ram Charan have earlier rejected to play roles in the Tamil director’s movies. Apart from his upcoming film Ponniyan Selvan, Mani is now getting ready to carve a web series titled “Navarasa” with Tamil heroes Surya, Siddharth and Aravind Swamy in the leads. And now, he wants Telugu stars Nani and Naga Chaitanya to consider the other lead roles, we hear.

The beauty of this web series is that there will nine episodes with each co-related a navarasa of the nine navarasas we have. And each episode will be directed by a different director while Mani remains producer. But then, Telugu stars Nani and Chay are said to be not giving their signal for the web series, owing to the fact that they have many movies to wrap whenever film shoots begin.
