AP: Schools To Re-Open From 5th Sep?

Even as the cases are continuously on rise, the government officials of Andhra Pradesh has informed centre that schools in state will reopen from 5th September. It is yet to take a decision on when schools in India will reopen. To discuss the School Safety Plan with all the States and Union Territories, the Union Ministry for Human Resource Development held a video conference on 15th of July.

All the states have been asked to provide schedules for reopening of schools. After the video conference, the HRD Ministry written to states to keep them informed if there is any change of plan.

Considering that cases are on surge, AP government has decided to postpone the reopening of schools from 3rd August to 5th September. Bihar, Delhi and Haryana are planning to restart from mid-August, after Independence Day. Some states including Telangana and Tamil Nadu are yet to take a call on restarting schools.
