Radhe Shyam: 1st Weekend Disappoints, 50% Recovery Tough?

Superstar Prabhas latest movie Radhe Shyam has released last Friday and evoked a mixed talk among the film lovers. While some of them liked the love story immensely, the majority of the audience seems to be unhappy with the poor writing. And here’s proof from the box office.

Apparently, Radhe Shyam made ₹ 31+ crores share from the box office on its Day 1 of release. And the next two days, which are crucial, the film managed to collect another ₹ 41+ crores share.

Together, first-weekend share of the film stood at ₹ 72 crores share from the box office while the target is to collect nearly ₹ 210 crores in the final run such that all the distributors would enter a safe mode.

In all likelihood, Prabhas has two weeks of time to make it big and push the film to safe shores. But then, already bookings got dwindled with the footfalls registering on Monday sounding to be very dull.

And with “The Kashmir Files” taking charge at the Bollywood box office, the chances of the film making very big there are very slim. Trade circles are believing that it will be tough to touch the 50% mark itself from now as the talk of the movie already got spread.

Though the makers of the movie have massed huge profits already through the digital, satellite rights and theatrical sales of the film, the distributors and exhibitors might not see much happiness. Because if the final recovery touches anywhere between 50-60% also, the losses will be huge.
