Even with the average talk, it garnered on Day 1, actually Prabhas “Radhe Shyam” would have made some decent money at the Bollywood box office provided with the fact that it has a solo run.
But unexpectedly, the film “The Kashmir Files” took a plunge at the box office and witnessed unprecedented success. That led to the failure of Radhe Shyam in a big way.
After crushing all the hopes of Radhe Shyam in an unexpected way, ‘The Kashmir Files’ has now done the same to Akshay Kumar’s last Friday released ‘Bachan Panday’ as well.
Though the film got some average reviews, it couldn’t make it big on the weekend after collecting ₹ 13+ crores nett on Opening Day. The film should have collected more on Saturday and Sunday, but then it made only ₹ 12 crores odd on those two days also.
With RRR arriving this Friday, surely Bachhan Panday will be the first casualty and it might collect somewhere between ₹ 60-70 crores nett if the weekdays give a bit of relief. But with the kind of pressure The Kashmir Files is exerting on the box office with its sheer content brilliance, surely Bachhan Panday might not recover.
