Within a few hours, Rajamouli’s mighty magnum opus RRR featuring Jr NTR and Ram Charan in the leads is all set to hit cinemas. Many thought that some happening films like The Kashmir Files, Gangubai and Bachhan Panday will create a bigger problem for RRR at the box office, but it looks like all those things are not even being considered by the distributors now.
If we look at Hyderabad for tomorrow, almost all the theatres in the city are allotted to RRR only. An exhibitor revealed that only 4-5 theatres will screen The Kashmir Files this weekend, while Radhe Shyam will be exhibited in 1 theatre. The rest of the theatres will be screening only RRR without any fail. Films like Gangubai Kathiawadi and Bachhan Panday are being removed in totality from all the theatres while other Telugu films like Standup Rahul will also get whitewashed.
Not just in Hyderabad, even in other Bollywood centres as well, RRR is replacing most of the below-average and average movies and will be occupying nearly 7000 screens across the country. Looks like the film will get a breakeven in just a week if it gets even above-average talk from the first day first show.
