As RRR has finally been released and is doing extremely well at the box office, director SS Rajamouli will be highly relieved now. Meanwhile, the speculations have already started about his next outing.
It is already known that Rajamouli will be doing his next film with Superstar Mahesh Babu. Now, several speculations are being made about the genre of this movie.
In one of the earlier interviews, Rajamouli’s father Vijayendra Prasad said that the film will be set in an African forest backdrop. Now, it is being heard that the film is going to be a spy-thriller like the James Bond series. It is also heard that the movie will be made on a mammoth budget of Rs.800 crores. However, there is no confirmation on the same.
However, it cannot be true because Mahesh doesn’t have a pan-India market. A film like RRR is managing to collect Rs. 1000 crores with positive talk, because of the presence of multiple stars. So, doing such a heavy-budget film with Mahesh will be a huge risk for the makers. Every film cannot be a Baahubali.
Also, Rajamouli is known for making films with a strong emotional quotient. Spy-thrillers generally don’t have any emotional content. Thus, it is not an ideal genre for the director. Even if he does, we have to see how he will indulge emotions in such a film.
Rajamouli also has a habit of revealing his film’s subject right before the start of the shoot. Fans are hoping that he will do the same for this movie as well because that is the only way to put an end to all these speculations.
